INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing a Nolan helmet as protective equipment for using your motorcycle. Nolan products are designed and manufactured to the highest standards of quality, comfort, and safety, in order to provide reliability and protection during use.

For the purposes of this warranty, "product" means exclusively the original helmet and any original components supplied by Nolangroup S.p.A.

We invite you to carefully read the instructions for use, maintenance, and safety provided with the product, and to always use the helmet correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Commercial Warranty – 5 Years

Nolangroup S.p.A. offers a commercial warranty for a maximum period of 5 (five) years from the date of purchase of the product.

This warranty covers exclusively defects in materials or workmanship recognised by Nolangroup S.p.A. or its authorised service network.

This commercial warranty is in addition to any rights granted to the consumer under mandatory provisions applicable in the country of purchase or the consumer's country of residence, and does not limit or affect such rights. These rights may vary from country to country.

This warranty is intended exclusively for end consumers.

The warranty applies exclusively to original products purchased from authorised dealers or distributors.

Warranty Coverage

The warranty covers exclusively defects in materials or workmanship that appear during the relevant validity period.

The warranty does not cover normal deterioration of the product resulting from:

  • use;
  • the passage of time;
  • the manner of use;
  • the manner of storage;
  • maintenance of the product;
  • physiological ageing of materials.

The extent of normal deterioration of the product may vary depending on:

  • intensity of use;
  • manner of use;
  • environmental conditions;
  • manner of storage and maintenance of the product.

The warranty may only be exercised upon presentation of:

  • the original proof of purchase clearly showing the date of purchase of the product;
  • any information reasonably necessary to identify the product.

Warranty Services

In the event of a defect covered by the warranty, Nolangroup S.p.A. may, where reasonably possible and subject to the availability of components, also taking into account any discontinuation of production of the model or its components:

  • repair the product;
  • replace the product;
  • replace the defective component with an equivalent component.

Repair or replacement may be carried out using components that are equivalent to, or updated from, those originally installed on the product.

Any replaced components may differ from the originals for technical, production, aesthetic, or product-update reasons.

Replaced parts become the property of Nolangroup S.p.A., where permitted by applicable law.

Service provisions and the availability of spare parts may vary depending on the country and the availability of the local authorised service network.

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear of the product and its internal and external components;
  • deterioration resulting from normal use of the product over time;
  • physiological deterioration of removable or wear-related components;
  • cosmetic damage such as scratches, abrasions, discolouration, dulling, deformation, or deterioration of the paintwork;
  • deterioration or alteration of fluorescent parts or finishes due to exposure to UV rays, atmospheric agents, or normal ageing of materials;
  • damage to the visor caused by improper use, incorrect cleaning, impacts, abrasions, or use of unsuitable products;
  • damage caused by accidents, falls, impacts, or shocks of any kind;
  • damage resulting from improper use or use not in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions;
  • abnormal or particularly demanding use relative to the product's intended use;
  • use of the product in sporting competitions, competitive activities, or extreme conditions, unless expressly stated otherwise by the manufacturer;
  • modifications, alterations, tampering, or repairs carried out by the user or by unauthorised third parties;
  • application of stickers, paints, varnishes, solvents, or chemical substances;
  • damage resulting from improper storage of the product;
  • improper exposure to heat sources, extreme temperatures, or harmful substances;
  • use of accessories incompatible with, or not approved by, Nolangroup S.p.A.;
  • installation or use of non-original or unauthorised components, accessories, or devices;
  • counterfeit, altered products, or products purchased through unauthorised sales channels;
  • subjective phenomena related to comfort, fit, or aerodynamic noise, unless such phenomena result from proven defects in materials or workmanship.

Liability

Nolangroup S.p.A. shall be liable within the limits provided for by applicable law.

Except as otherwise provided by mandatory legal provisions, Nolangroup S.p.A. shall not be liable for damage resulting from:

  • improper use of the product;
  • use not in accordance with the instructions provided;
  • unauthorised modifications or interventions;
  • failure to comply with safety warnings;
  • use of the product after impacts, shocks, or accidents that may have compromised its protective characteristics.

Some limitations or exclusions of liability provided for in this warranty may not be applicable in certain countries or legal systems.

Any limitation of liability is in any case excluded in cases of fraud, gross negligence, death, or personal injury, where provided for by applicable law.

Procedure for Requesting Service

To benefit from the warranty, the consumer must:

  • contact the authorised dealer from whom the product was purchased or an authorised service centre;
  • present the product that is the subject of the service request;
  • present a valid proof of purchase clearly showing the date of purchase of the product.

In the absence of proof of purchase, Nolangroup S.p.A. may not be able to verify the applicability and duration of the warranty.

The product that is the subject of the service request must be delivered in adequate hygienic condition and reasonably clean.

Duration of the Warranty

The repair or replacement of the product or one of its components under this warranty shall not give rise to a new warranty period, unless otherwise provided by mandatory legal provisions.

Any temporary unavailability of spare parts or specific technical requirements relating to the service do not constitute non-performance by the manufacturer where handled within reasonable timeframes.

Use, Maintenance, and Safety of the Product

Maximum attention and care are always the primary forms of protection when riding a motorcycle.

The helmet is a protective device that must be used, stored, and maintained in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

The consumer is required to use, store, and maintain the product correctly and in accordance with the instructions for use and maintenance provided by Nolangroup S.p.A.

The protective characteristics of the helmet may diminish over time as a result of:

  • use;
  • exposure to atmospheric agents;
  • ageing of materials;
  • impacts, accidents, or other events, even if not immediately visible;
  • incorrect methods of use, storage, or maintenance.

For safety reasons, it is recommended that the helmet be replaced after prolonged use or following impacts or accidents, even if apparently minor.

Failure to comply with the instructions for use, maintenance, and safety may compromise the protective characteristics of the product.

Final Provisions

This warranty applies to original Nolan-branded products purchased from authorised dealers.

This warranty also applies to original X-lite-branded products marketed by Nolangroup S.p.A., including helmets still distributed or present on the market under that brand.

Should one or more provisions of this warranty be deemed invalid or ineffective under applicable law, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

This warranty is governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory rights of the consumer under the applicable law of the country of purchase or the consumer's country of residence.

In the event of interpretive discrepancies between any different language versions of this warranty, the English version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
